To ensure the safety of all attendees and streamline entry at school events, Spartanburg School District Four has adopted a Clear Bag Policy.
Compliance is mandatory for all guests.
Permitted Bags (All Subject to Search)
- Clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bags not exceeding 12” x 6” x 12” (Bags must be completely transparent with no tint or patterns).
- Small clutch bags (maximum size: 4.5” x 6.5”)
- Diaper bags. We recommend using a clear bag as a diaper bag to streamline the bag check process.
- Stadium seats
- Medical bags or coolers for medication are permitted.
Prohibited Bags – No Exceptions
- Clutch larger than 4.5” x 6.5”
- Purse/Pocketbook
- Backpacks, drawstring bags, book bags
- Camera bags, binocular cases, computer bags
- Fanny packs, briefcases, coolers, luggage
Prohibited Items
- Firearms (open-carry or concealed)
- Knives/Sharp instruments
- Alcohol, tobacco, vapes (regardless of age)
- Air horns, aerosol cans, mace/pepper spray
- Fireworks, explosives, laser pointers
- Inflatables (unless pre-approved)
- Masks (except for health-related use)
- Propane heaters
- Unauthorized animals (service dogs only)
Enforcement
- Unapproved bags/items must be returned to vehicles.
- Tobacco/Vape Use:
o If a student, item(s) will be confiscated, and disciplinary action will follow based on school guidelines.
o If over 18, item(s) will need to be returned to vehicle before entry.
o Repeating offenses may result in ejection or season bans.
- Weapons: Strict enforcement. Offenses may result in removal, law enforcement involvement, or season-long bans.
*Special Exemptions: Retired or off-duty law enforcement officers may carry with proper credentials and clearance from on-duty officers.
Additional Policies
- Upon leaving there is no reentry.
- Noncompliance: Failure to comply with the Clear Bag Policy may result in denied entry and trespass from all district properties.
