Policies and Procedures
The WMS Media Center utilizes a flexible schedule based on the needs of the curriculum and classroom teachers. ELA classes will go to the media center for check-outs every other week. In order to reserve the Media Center for collaborative classes or special events please sign up at the circulation desk. If you would like for Mrs. Harrell to be involved in your class or activity, please schedule time for collaboration with her in advance. Collaborating and co-teaching is encouraged.

The Media Center is open from 7:25 am until 3:15 pm. If you want to visit the Media Center during recess time, you should obtain a pass from one of your teachers.

During recess or before school, you may visit the Media Center to browse or read magazines, read a book, check out books, play board games, or do homework or research.

Students may check out 3 books at a time and keep them for 2 weeks.

Magazines that have a checkout barcode on the outside plastic cover may be checked out overnight.

The fine for an overdue book is 5 cents a day for each book you have checked out.

If a book is lost or damaged, you must pay the replacement cost of the book.
